π¦ Receive bins into the yard
Log a shipment of new bins. They're added to the yard inventory, then leave it on their own when one is used for a delivery. Bins coming back from customers go on the truck when marked β Picked up, then into the yard with π Unloaded in yard.

πΎ Backups
Nightly online backups
Every night around 3β4 am, a full copy of every bin, the settings and recent route records is saved online. The last 7 nights are kept; older ones are deleted. Download any of them as a file;
β Restore from backup
can read it if it's ever needed.
Copy to a hard drive or folder on this computer
Pick a folder once (for example on an external hard drive). Each day the app is opened on this computer, it saves that day's backup there as
standstone-bin-map-backup.json
, replacing the one before. Works in Chrome or Edge on a computer.

β Route delayed
Move the stops that won't get done to another day. Each affected customer is emailed right away (one email per customer, listing their locations), the stops show on the new day's route, and tomorrow's reminders follow the new day.

β Seasonal schedule for several bins
For camps and other sites that close for part of the year. The bins stay on site; in the off-season they're lifted less often, or only when the customer books a lift (on call, with a week's notice). Normal pickups start again on their own when the season ends. Set the usual dates below; each ticked bin can then be given its own dates.

Plan routes
Works out a weekday and cycle week for every front-load bin so each of the 20 route days (MonβFri Γ 4 weeks) is about the same length, then puts each day's stops in driving order with dump runs. You see a draft on the map first; nothing changes until you press
Apply
. Roll-offs, short-term rentals, on-call bins and bins without a pin are left out. Bins picked up 2+ times a week keep the days ticked on them β tick those first.
Yard (start and end of each day) β name, then latitude, longitude
Landfills the truck can dump at β one per line: name, latitude, longitude, then the hours trucks are let in (e.g. 9:00-16:45). Without hours, the planner guesses 9:00-16:30 and says so in the plan.
Truck leaves the yard at
Truck load (yards)
Target day length (hours)
Minutes to pull in at a stop
Minutes per bin lifted
Minutes at the landfill per dump
Minutes per day for checks, fuel, etc.
